NYPD Patrol vs. WBLS Charity B-Ball Game

On Friday, May 16, 2003 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Elmcor Recreation Center, New York City Police Officers and youth from Patrol Borough Queens South will play a benefit basketball game against W.B.L.S. Sure Shots.

The purpose of this event is to promote a positive interaction between the police department and the youngsters in the Queens community. It is an essential part of this department’s youth strategy. By reaching out to the youth, we hope to encourage these children to become solid citizens and productive members of the community. We expect that there will be approximately 1,500 spectators and participants at this event. Come join us at Elmcor for this evening of fun and root for your favorite team to win.

Elmcor Recreation Center is located at 107-20 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY, with available parking doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5.00 and are available at all Queens South and Queens North Explorer posts. Any questions or to confirm your attendance, please call Patrol Borough Queens South Community Affairs at 718-969-7472, 969-7366 or 969-7403.
