50th Rockaway Little League Opening Day

The Rockaway Little League is celebrating their 50th anniversary on May 3rd with Opening Day at Fort Tilden. This year, almost 100 boys and girls have registered and 75 teams will play in the following divisions: T-ball-ages 4&5, Peewee Jr.-ages 5&6, Peewee Sr.-ages 7&8, Minor Boys-ages 9&10, Minor Girls-ages 9, 10, & 11, Major Boys-ages 11&12, Major Girls- ages 11, 12 &13 and Junior Boys-ages 13 &14. Gateway, Little League officials, Congressman Anthony Weiner and Assemblywoman Audrey Pheffer will be on hand for the opening festivities.
