Sorrentino Falls Short in Millenium Tourney

The Parks & Recreation Millennium Basketball Tournament came to an early end for the 11-13 year old Sorrentino team as they lost by 10 points in the citywide semifinals to the team from Brooklyn after defeating the team from Staten Island by 10 points earlier in the playoffs. The 14-16 year old team made it all the way to the Citywide Championship game but was unable to defeat the Roy Wilkins Panthers for first place in the city. Congratulations to both teams from Sorrentino Recreation Center (the 11-13 and 14-16 age groups) for coming in second place in Queens and the 14-16 year old team for coming in second place in the city.
