Jim Mcveigh won the men’s race last year in the pouring rain. The Sweet’N Low Rockaway Rotary 25th Annual Ocean Run will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. It is a 5-mile run on the boardwalk and it starts at the ocean end of Beach 116 Street. There are 3 races: 5 mile, 1 mile and ¼ mile children’s race. Registration on the day of the race will take place at Beach 116 Street. The cost is $17.00. There will be a post race party at The New Irish Circle at 101-19 Rockaway Beach Boulevard and hamburgers, hot dogs, beer, soda and water will be served. It is $5.00 for non-race participants.
