West End Drug Bust Nets Two

Acting on a drug warrant, police officers from the 100 Precinct and the NYPD's Emergency Service Unit (ESU) raided two apartments at 150 Beach 115 Street in Rockaway Park, last Wednesday, April 23, netting more than 20 bags of crack cocaine as well as a quantity of marijuana and illegal pills.

Led by Captain Charles Talamo, the commanding officer of the 100 Precinct and Sergeant Klein of the precinct's Anti-Crime Unit, the police entered two separate apartments at the Beach 115 Street home.

In apartment four, police found Shakima Rosario, 26. Rosario was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and unlawful possession of Marijuana.

According to police sources, she had illegal anti-depressant pills and cigarettes saturated with an illegal substance in her possession as well as marijuana.

Kenneth Edwards, 22, was arrested after a search of Apartment Seven. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. According to police, Edwards had more than 20 bags of crack cocaine in his apartment as well as a substantial amount of "rolled up cash."
