Made Math Honor Society

Christopher Chimera, the son of Carole and Frank Chimera of Belle Harbor, was inducted as a member of the Connecticut Gamma Chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon at Fairfield University, Connecticut, the national mathematics honor society.

In order to qualify for membership, a junior or senior must major or minor in mathematics, rank in the top third of the class and have a 3.0 grade average in mathematics. A sophomore must have a 4.0 in mathematics and rank in the top quarter.

Chimera is a member of the Pep Band and Concert Band. He graduated Xaverian High School.
