Thanks To Community

Dear Editor;

On behalf of the 100th Precinct Community Council, I would like to thank everyone who attended this year's Community Cruise. It was one of our most successful years, raising more than $3,000 for Night Out Against Crime / Fireworks 2002.

Rockaway's Annual Community Cruise is successful because of the efforts of people like Sandee and Jate Doremus, Nancy Woods, Joanne Greenberg, Andrea Mangone, and Liz Sulik. A special thank you to the Rockaway Artists Alliance and Patrick Clark for donating artwork and stained glass that was raffled. We also thank Councilman Joseph Addabbo, who joined us on the cruise and was generous enough to donate his 50/50 raffle winnings back to the 100 Precinct Community Council.

Night Out Against Crime will be Tuesday, August 6 on Beach 116 Street. Festivities start in the afternoon and conclude with a 9 PM fireworks show. The 100 Precinct Community Council would like to see the community come out in record numbers to celebrate a truly special day on our peninsula.

JOHN C. MCLOUGHLIN
PRESIDENT,
100 PCT COMMUNITY COUNCIL
