Thanks 100 Precinct

I'm a native Rockawayite and now live in St. Augustine, Florida, and it is so wonderful to be able to read the Wave each week and here about my hometown thanks.  I also would like to send a special thank you to the excellent and professional service of the 100 precinct.  Last Saturday I could not get an answer from my senior citizen parents in Rockaway and I called the police station to please go and check on them, as it was 9:30 at night.  They promptly called me back and let me know that they were not at home and so were okay.  They had a sudden change of plans and had to pick up my older sister at the airport, she was not due to fly in till Monday.  Neither they nor my sister got to tell me.  That was a great relief to me as I was very worried.  Thank you, I'm proud to say I'm a Rockaway native.
