Dot on Roxbury by Dotty Taphouse

A bridal shower was held on Saturday July 13th for Heather Hurley in the Roxbury Catholic Club. It was given by her bridesmaids Jeannette Duemig, Jaime Hurley, Robin Cawley, Cindy Averys, Cindy Mangan, Christine Urrego, Maripat Hardarat, Michelle Kuroz, Holly Hurley and Patty Hurley. Also assisting Heather with her gifts were flower girls Gillian Cawley, Amanda Hardarat and Caitlen Cook.

Heather and Tom Cook plan to wed this September at the Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park. Heather is the daughter of Rita Hurley and Tom is the son of Pat and Walter Cook. The delicious food and waitress service was catered by Franks Deli of Maspeth. Irish decorations were used and some ethnic dishes were served to give the shower an Irish theme.

The card party at Father Hession Hall was held on July 12th. There were many beautiful prizes won. It looked like a big success.

Happy Birthday Kathy Duemig and John Durante July 25.
