The Rockaway Music & Arts Council (RMAC) wants teenagers in Rockaway who write poetry, short stories, essays or long form material, (fiction or non-fiction). Projects will be discussed to give the writer a greater scope for ideas. The teens will become part of the RMAC Writers Group, and there will be a reading of the material for parents and friends. Interested parties call Estelle Feldman at RMAC.

The Rockaway Theatre Company will be offering Sat. Morning Children’s Theatre Arts Workshop. Six sessions of "hands on" activities provide memorable experiences in writing, rehearsing, set creation and costume design. The seventh session will be an original student performance for parents and invited guests. For application, RTC, P.O. Box 398, Fort Tilden, NY 11695-0398 or email rtc@nyc.rr.com/.
