for larger version       Health Happenings Alzheimer’s caregivers support group (Neponsit Adult Day Health Care Program), Young Israel of Far Rockaway, every 2nd & 4th Thurs. of the month, 1 - 3 p.m. The Community Resource Center (1600 Central Avenue, in Far Rockaway) and Family Support Services Program offers counseling. All services are free (day and night). They will send representatives to meet with you. Health and Harmony Wellness Education presents yoga/meditation classes – every other Thurs. (7 p.m.) Meditation and movement for Moms every Fri. at 10 a.m. Free Blood Pressure screening every Thurs. from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., Peninsula Hospital Center (PHC). Free pregnancy testing at Multivitz Health Services, 529 Beach 20 St. Mon. - Sat. OB/GYN services available. Free pregnancy screening - St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, Mon. - Wed, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., and Thurs & Fri, 10 a.m. - noon. Peninsula Hospital Center Parkinson Support Group – 2nd Wed. of the month, 1 p.m., in the Meditation Room. PHC - free immunizations for children up to age 18 all year round at Family Health Center every Wed. The Diabetes Support Group, the 1st Wed of every month, 10 a.m. (Meditation Room) Participate in four free and brief smoking cessation sessions with Margaret M. Brower, CSW. Healthguard Diagnostic & Treatment Center, 217 Beach 95 St., Rockaway Beach. Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group meets at PHC the last Wed. of each month, 6:30 p.m.
