Gateway Hosts Native Americans

More than 1,000 Native American performers and artists from North and South America will participate this Saturday and Sunday in the ninth annual Gateway to Nations New York Native American Heritage Celebration at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn.

The festival will include singing, dancing, drumming and flute playing as groups vie for prizes.

Food such as buffalo burgers, venison stew, wild rice, corn soup and fry bread will be available.

The gates are open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults, $3 for children. Senior citizens may enter for $4. Those interested in further information should call 718-482-3179.
