From Swing To Soul. On June 17, 4:30 p.m. at Arverne Branch of the Queens Borough Public Library, 312 Beach 54 St. Enjoy a free performance featuring sensational singing duo Richard Lanham and Jeanne O’Connor, as they move with ease between classic tunes, jazz, swing and rhythm and blues.

Introduction to Jazz Blues, June 20, 4 p.m. at Seaside Branch of Queens Borough Public Library, 116-15 Rockaway Beach Blvd, Rockaway Park. Award-winning blues and jazz artist Robert Ross presents a free afternoon concert of traditional jazz and blues standards in addition to some original tunes. Come and learn about the great jazz and blues artist and the songs they made famous.

The Bayswater Players holding auditions - Last of The Red Hot Lovers. June 11 and 12, 7 p.m. at The Bayswater Jewish Center. Bring headshot and resume.

The Rockaway Artists Alliance (RAA) and the Brooklyn Watercolor Society (BWS) are holding a free outdoor "paint-out"/workshop on June 15 (rain date: June 22). Meet at 11 a.m. in sTudio 6, Ft. Tilden. Some experience preferred but not necessary. Bring your own materials. Best of the results go into RAA’s ARTSPLASH 2002 exhibition. Contact RAA office for info. Open to RAA and BWS members only.

The Rockaway Artists Alliance (RAA) is holding a meeting on June 10. Guest speaker is well-known sculptor Peter Lundberg, creator of monumental sculpture at Riis Landing and curator of sculpture installations in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Rockaway Columbiettes will sponsor a bus/theatre trip to Centre Stage at Molloy College on June 30 for the Broad Hollow Theatre Company’s production of the comedy "Checking Out."
