CB 14 Meeting on June 11

Community Board 14 will be holding its regular monthly meeting on June 11, at 7:45 at the American Legion Hall on Beach 92 Street.

There are a number of items on the meeting’s agenda.

There will be a committee report from the Nominating Committee, chaired by Dan Mundy, regarding election for Chairperson of the Board.

The Land-Use Committee will be discussing three matters on the agenda.

Al Moore & Michael Tubridy, Co-Chairs, will be discussing Nicks Garage, 92-02/08 Rockaway Beach Blvd. This is an application to re-open and amend the previous resolution to allow the continued operation of an automobile repair shop and parking garage.

The second issue will be the Torah Academy for Girls at 444 Beach 6 Street. This application seeks to permit the expansion of an existing Yeshiva (school) on the listed premises.

The third matter is to amend the City map to eliminate a public place at the northeast corner of Bessemund Avenue and Beach 32 Street, and any acquisition of disposition of property related in Community Board 14.

Preceding these committee reports, Rosemary Murray, Chairperson of Community Board 14, and Jonathan Gaska, District Manager of Board 14, will each provide a report.

Those who wish to participate by speaking at the meeting regarding the above matters must sign-in before the meeting starts.
