The Project for Rockaway Youth in Safety and Education (PRYSE) Coalition Dinner, held on May 28, brought out a number of community leaders, activists, politicians and residents. The event featured speakers from various areas; such as health, law and the social services. Residents who have benefited from the programs offered by PRYSE spoke about how their lives have been changed. The goal of the organization is to mobilize the community, and all its stakeholders, to integrate, coordinate, strengthen, and develop resources to support children, youth and families. Funded agencies that are part of PRYSE, like Bank Street College, Community School District 27 and the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, had representatives on-hand for the celebration.
