Rockaway’s WTC Memorial Design Committee is looking for community–wide input and participation. Please contact Geoff Rawling of the Rockaway Artists Alliance if at all interested.

March 1 at 1 to 5 p.m., March 2 at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and March 4 at 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. – The Seaside Branch of the Queens Borough Public Library, 116-15 Rockaway Beach Blvd., is offering a book sale. All proceeds are used to purchase new materials for the Seaside branch.

March 3 at 10 a.m. – The 18th Annual Brotherhood/Sisterhood Awards Breakfast will be held at the St. Francis de Sales Church, Beach 129th Street off Rockaway Beach Blvd., Belle Harbor. A tasty continental breakfast will be served. Early reservations are suggested. Contact Deacon Horatio Proce at 411 B. 126 Street.

March 5 - Knights of Columbus Rockaway Council #2672 will hold a membership recruitment and 1st degree initiation honoring the memory of Frank Monahan, WTC victim at the council, 333 Beach 90 Street.

St. Brendan’s Parish at 1525 East 12th Street, Brooklyn will host a St. Patrick’s Dinner Dance on March 9, in our Parish Hall from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The ticket price of $25 includes hot buffet dinner, beer, set-ups and music. Reservations are necessary. Please call the rectory at 339-2828 for tickets.

Elizabeth’s House on 140 Beach 112 Street, will be holding the following events. Thursday, March 7, 10 a.m.- Adopt a Cop. Sunday, March 10, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. St. Andrews Parish, Brooklyn, Women’s Lenten Day, Lent: An In-Between Time.

Knight’s of Columbus Rockaway Council #2672 will hold a membership recruitment and 1st degree initiation, honoring the memory of Frank Monahan, WTC victim, on March 5th. The second degree ceremonial is slated for March 19th at the council, 333 B. 90 St.
