Walking group meets at Fort Tilden every Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m.

Birds of Water and Woods will be the focus of a bird walk at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge led by volunteer Kathleen Schnaars on Saturday, November 17 at 1:30 p.m. Bring binoculars. Reservations required.

Fall Nature Crafts For Kids will be held at the Fort Tilden Visitor Center on Sunday, November 18 at 1 p.m. Kids ages 7-12, with adult supervision, are invited to learn about the changing seasons through arts and crafts and nature observations. Reservations required.

There will be a Herbert Johnson lecture at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge on Wednesday, November 28 at 7:30 p.m. Topic is "The Threatened Beach Strand". Reservations required.
