The Rockaway Music and Arts Council, together with the Rockaway Theatre Company, presents a Gala Champagne Celebration to honor the opening of RTC's first production of the 2001 season: Neil Simon's Come Blow Your Horn, on Saturday, June 2, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. Spotlight on Seaside, slide lecture and video presentation about the development and history of Seaside will be held on Monday, June 11, 6:30 p.m. at the Seaside Branch, 116-15 Rockaway Beach Boulevard. Third Annual Boardwalk Speed Series begins Thursday June 7 at 7:00 p.m. and running each week same day, same time until July 12. Each evening will feature a 400 meter, one mile, and 5K run. The 400 will start at 7:00 sharp. So come down to Beach 95 Street (By the Whale) to have some fun and get a good workout. The Lutheran Church of the Incarnation, on the corner of West Broadway and Bayview Avenue in Cedarhurst, holds its Annual Yard Sale on Saturday, June 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Vendors are needed.
