Young Israel of Wavecrest and Bayswater Senior League, 2716 Healy Avenue is holding a Mother’s Day -- Father’s Day Celebration on Wednesday, June 13 at 9:00 a.m. There will be a free concert performance by Linda Ipanema and the Dixieland Band. Concert begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. The concert is sponsored by The Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula, The Office of Queens Borough President Claire Shulman, and the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs. A Glatt Kosher lunch will be served at 12 noon.

Young Israel Senior League is open to all senior citizens 60 and older. The center opens at 9 a.m. For more information or to request a schedule of events call Fay or Cydelle.

Rockaway Senior Center party and membership will take place every last Thursday of each month at the center located at 307 Beach 37 Street at 11 a.m.
