Music & The Arts

The Rockaway Theatre Company will be presenting Neil Simon's comedy, Come Blow Your Horn at the Post Theatre, at Fort Tilden, Friday and Saturday evenings during the entire month of June.  Tickets are available, in advance, through local Rockaway merchant distributors and at the Box Office on evening of performance.

The work of John J. Grillo will be on exhibition at the Rockaway Artists
Alliance sTudio-6 Gallery from May 19 - June 10.  Opening reception will be Saturday, May 19 1 - 4 p.m.  Gallery hours - Saturday 12 - 6 and Sunday 1 - 5.  Located in Fort Tilden and presented in conjunction with Gateway National Recreation Area, Queens, New York.  The work will include photographs from Fort Tilden, Old Rockaway Playland, photographs of local artists, and photographs from Italy and Costa Rica.  For information, please call RAA or

Free Summer Sing: The United Choral Society invites you to join them in singing Haydn’s "Creation," on Tuesday, June 5 at 8:00 p.m. at the Hewlett-Woodmere Library, 1125 Broadway, Hewlett. Musical score will be provided. Contact United Choral Society for more information.

Rockaway Artists Alliance meets on the second Monday of every month, 7:30 p.m. Meetings are held in building T-149, Fort Tilden. Bring your latest works for display.
