Dot on Roxbury by Dotty Taphouse

Some very exciting events here in Roxbury! We have two new members of the Taphouse clan to welcome this week. First, Craig and Jeanine Livingston are the proud parents of a baby boy. Stephen Edward, 10 lbs, 22 ¼ inches, was born at 1:45 a.m. on May 29.

After a very short labor, Dad Craig delivered Stephen in the front seat of their Ford Explorer on the side of the Belt Parkway, with assistance from the 911 operator via cell phone.

The ambulance arrived shortly thereafter to whisk them to the hospital, where Mom and baby are doing fine. Big sister Sarah is thrilled, and Craig is recuperating nicely.

The proud grandparents are Carole and Robert Taphouse, Sandy and Sonny Livingston, and the great- grandparents are Doris and Walter Christianson, and I, Dotty Taphouse. The great nanny is Gertrude Daly. If there are any Dad-to be’s looking for advice out there, Craig would be happy to talk you out of trying this at home.

Welcome home to Jessica Anne Geis! AnnMarie and Peter Geis spent the last two weeks in China, picking up their beautiful baby girl Jessica Anne. Grandparents Dorothy and Ronnie Farrell, Maryjane and Greg Geis, along with me as the great- grandma, couldn’t be happier to welcome Jessica Anne to the family! She’s got plenty of new cousins and friends to play with, and they all will have fun on the new "Cyclone" ramp added to the Geis’s deck! Better charge admission, or there may be a line to use that ramp….

Happy 1st birthday, Dean Durante, June 3rd. (Another great-grandson!)

Love ya,

Dot
