Prayer For Healing AIDS

March 4th through March 10th has been declared as the Black Churches Week of Prayer for Healing AIDS, which was organized by the Balm in Gilead Inc., an organization that stresses healing through prayer, education, advocacy, and service.

As a participant, the Bertha Greshan Missionary Society of Bethel AME Church will sponsor a day of prayer, education and advocacy on Saturday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The activities include a concert featuring Eric and Sandra at 2 p.m. Sandra is a native of Arverne. Since her elementary school years, Sandra has given to her community.

Also local health care providers will be available to give referrals for AIDS and HIV services. For additional information contact Anne Warden or Barbara Davis at Bethel Church, 215 Beach 77 Street.
