Community Outreach

Dear Editor;

The newspapers tell us that our economy is in a slight "downturn." When we read that layoffs from consolidations reach numbers like 75,000 layoffs in only one merger, is it any wonder that the requests for Passover packages have skyrocketed?

I could go on and relate to anyone that even if they are not employed in any of these mergers that they are effected since the economy is dependent on everyone spending money earned by the support industries. Welcome to the "domino" theory in real life.

The bottom line simply stated is, that we desperately need the communities help. All generous contribution will ensure someone a kosher, sweet and observant Passover.

We invite everyone to share in the Mitza and wish all families to enjoy a kosher, sweet and happy Passover.

Please send contributions to Lt. Bernard H. Weiner, Post #258 JWV, Passover Fund, PO Box 241, Rockaway Park, NY 11694

PASSOVER FUND COMMITTEE
