That may be well and good, but there will be more than roses on display when the RMAC journeys to Philadelphia on Wednesday, March 6 to view the largest indoor flower show in the world. Held in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, this spectacular show is not to be missed. Our tour guide for the day will be Barbara Eisenstadt, president of the RMAC, and the guiding force behind many of our trips. Barbara’s insight into what will be of interest to RMAC’s friends is unsurpassed. Each and every time she comes up with a fabulous trip and this one is not an exception. Getting back to the flower show, it will cover the 33 acres of the convention center and feature exhibits and demonstrations as well as different garden designs for all those of us who have green thumbs and gardens around the house. In garden design there will be something for every taste -- whether you like a traditional garden, a formal garden, or something ultra modern -- you will be able to get plenty of ideas for your own home, and with spring just around the corner this is the perfect time to go to a flower show. For those of you in the know about flora and fauna, Chanticleer, America’s pleasure garden in Wayne, Pennsylvania, will debut at the show, exhibiting to everyone how nature can be translated into a fantasyland and how tropical fruits with spices and herbs, as well as berries and flowers, can co-exists with nature. You are sure to want to take time viewing this exhibit. The list of exhibits at the flower show are too many to mention here, but, take a deep breath, the smell of spring is in the air and you are on the bus on your way to Philadelphia.
