PHC ‘Vants’ Your Blood Donation

Peninsula Hospital Center will host a blood drive on August 22, 2000 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the main lobby of Peninsula Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation.

New York is in desperate need of blood donations. Blood banks have been reporting supplies of less than 30 percent of their optimum level. One pint of blood can save five lives because the parts of the whole blood are separated. Help replenish this deficit!

To be a life-saving blood donor, you must be between the ages of 17 and 76, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good general health. The donation takes approximately one hour, and features a mini health exam along with free refreshments. Donors will also receive a voucher redeemable for one meal in the cafeteria at Peninsula Hospital Center.

Peninsula Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation is located on Beach Channel drive at 50 street in Far Rockaway, New York.

To schedule your appointment, call Maureen O’Hara at the hospital center. Transportation will be provided for groups of five or more from a single location.
