I rarely agree with Howie Schwach but if stopping vehicles from parking on Shore Front parkway brings as much joy to the children and adults as it does to us on the west end on the weekends it is worth the fight.

My neighbors and I watched our kids and grandkids last weekend playing in the street without fear of vehicles driving by with their vision obstructed by parked cars. It is a pleasure to have them right on the block. We not only watched our kids but we were able to clean the streets without cars blocking the curbs.

I realize it is a hardship for some people to find parking, but the safety of the kids and adults as well, is more important. I believe this is one of the many reasons this neighborhood is in such demand.
