Peninsula Hospital Center will sponsor a health fair on Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring free health screenings, health education materials, entertainment, refreshments and gifts. PHC’s annual open meeting will take place on Monday, June 12, 7 p.m., under the big top tent. All are invited

Rockaway Point’s annual blood drive will take place Saturday, June 17 at the Rockaway Point Community Center, 204 Rockaway Point boulevard, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Alzheimer’s care givers support group at the Neponsit Adult Day Health Care Program at Young Israel of Far Rockaway, 716 Beach 9 street, every second and fourth Thursday of the month, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Contact Arlene, 337-4810, for more information.

Peninsula Hospital Center offers free immunizations for children up to age 18 all year round through the Family Health Center. Free childhood immunizations are regularly scheduled at the center on Wednesdays.

Free pregnancy screening at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, Monday through Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and Thursday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. OB/GYN services also available.

Peninsula Hospital Center offers support groups for sufferers of Parkinson’s disease, diabetes and traumatic brain injury, as well as their family and friends.

Addabbo Health Center offers support groups for suffers of diabetes, asthma, depression, weight control, and cardiac problems.
