for larger version       Rockaway Little League News: By Shelley Plock The spring season officially opened on Saturday, April 29, 2000. As always, the players, coaches, umpires and officials all turned up eager and enthusiastic to get the ball rolling. We have 55 teams and over 800 players! It was great to see some new faces that are joining in the sport, and others who are playing for the first time. We will have a full supply of refreshments in the clubhouse. And we can always use volunteers. I’d like to strongly express the importance to all coaches to make re-cap sheets of the games, whether it be highlights or just player participation. If you cannot fill out a form at the clubhouse, please feel free to e-mail me at Yankeehuny@aol.com. Last year we got complaints about teams that were never mentioned in The Wave, and we’d like to try and prevent that from happening this year. I will have teams standings within the next 2 weeks.
