St. Francis De Sales’ Community Affairs Committee is sponsoring a blood drive on Sunday, May 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Beach 129 street in the small hall, which is situated between the school auditorium and the church.

There is no substitute for blood. Area hospitals use more than 2,000 units of blood each day. The blood supply needs to be replenished constantly. Anyone between the ages of 17 and 76, in good heath and weighing at least 110 pounds can donate blood.

With summer coming, and the blood supply extremely low, more donors than ever are needed. Everyone who is able is encouraged to take a few minutes out and give the gift of life.
