for larger version       Dot on Roxbury by Dotty TaphouseA surprise baby shower was held on Sunday, April 30, 2000 for Christie Durante at a delightful brunch at The Beach Club in Rockaway Park. It was given by the expectant grandmothers Janet Durante and Maryann Walsh. Christie was really surprised and received many beautiful gifts. The delicious brunch was enjoyed by all. Christie and John Durante expect their new bundle of joy later in May. Rocky Martin of Roxbury celebrated his big 40 birthday of March 26, 2000 on Saturday, March 29, 2000 in the Mayor’s Committee Clubhouse. The party was given by his lovely wife Lynda. The delicious buffet was catered by Donald Feimer and Frank Sullivan of Classic Cuisine. Do-Ron was the excellent D.J. with the music for dancing. Family, neighbors and friends from work all enjoyed the great celebration. Happy Birthday Marie O’Neill, 90 years young, May 7, and Glen Taphouse, May 12.
