Shea, a 41-year Rockaway resident, died September 1. Shea was born in Queens, New York and moved to the Rockaways 41 years ago. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean War. Thomas, 79, a longtime Rockaway resident, died August 22. Thomas was born on January 1, 1931 in Hughes, Arkansas. Following High School graduation in 1951, Walter was drafted into the United States Army. He regularly attended Sunday school and taught Bible study.
